Baptism report from Pakistan

*The following is a letter from Saul detailing the events surrounding the recent baptism of 23 new believers!!

Mark 16:15-17

¹⁵He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. ¹⁶Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. ¹⁷And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons;

they will speak in new tongues;

I am going to share a short but full of blessings report with you about baptism.

Vertical World Solutions started work in arifwala but now God is extending our work to other cities like Sahiwal, Bahawal Nagar, Pakpattan and Faisalabad.

About Sahiwal
It is a big city with vast area its population is about 1 million according to rough census survey. There are 6 Christian’s colonies where Christians live together and in its villages large amount of Christians are living from a long time. Mostly Christians who are living in its villages are uneducated and unreached too. Vertical World Solutions is unconditionally reaching in different villages of Sahiwal to spread the message of God among people without salvation.

Baptism
We baptized 23 people in the name of Father, Son and the Holy Spirit in Sahiwal.

We had been visiting Hindu and Christian families in Sahiwal for a long time our this visit was time to time but now God has put in our heart to reach these unreached people on regular bases. God is using Vertical World Solutions in Sahiwal for His kingdom. Victor is working for God in Sahiwal through Vertical World Solutions Pakistan to win the souls for Jesus Christ; God is using us for His great purposes we are thankful to Him for this.

Every month I (Saul Masih) was going to Sahiwal to meet Christians and Hindu people. We teach them about love and compassion of Jesus Christ. It took us long time to teach these people about true God and His Son but we are succeeded to teach.  

After listening word of God again and again from us some people were broken by God. God also did His work among these people, many sick people were healed and many unhappy became happy. God started to do His work in their lives in amazing ways; these people felt His blessings in their lives and decided to accept Jesus as their true savior. Our notebook is about to be filled with their testimonies in they told how God worked for their lives.

Our prayer meeting time was 6PM on Friday evening but people came on 5PM and we started it on exact 6PM. We sang praise songs and I (Saul Masih) shared the word of God with people from Act 13: 44-52
In these verses disciples of Jesus Christ are teaching people but some Jews and other well reputed people stood against them to stop God’s work and disciples of Jesus Christ had to leave this city because they started to persecute them. There is no problem when we don’t accept Jesus as true savior but problems starts when we accept Him and gave His testimonies. Now after getting baptism many people will stand against you but you have to be stronger against Satan’s attacks. Jesus will not leave you in time of need whenever you need Him Jesus will be with you in your favor. ( Wrote here Short)

This short message had been blessing for people. During my message a bad spirit started to tease a young girl, this girl started to cry in loud voice some people got afraid but I said them to not take any notice of this. Satan was trying to make people fear but with prayers and during sharing of Word of God this demon left that girl.

We said prayers and started to listen testimonies of people, we listen testimonies for 3 hours people were coming and giving their testimonies to give praise to God. At 9:50 we started to baptized people, we said prayers before baptizing everyone; we also let people say prayers for themselves. This was amazing people were saying prayers for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in their lives and they were asking God to keep them stronger on their faith in the time of persecution or temptation.

When everyone had gotten baptism we said prayers for all people.

In the end of our prayer meeting we provided food to people because they were with us from 5PM till 11:30PM this is very long period people were not going back they wanted to learn more but we had to come back to home and we said them good bye at 12:15AM.

These people requested for Bibles and song books and they need water pump in place that they have allocated for God to say prayers. They need Bibles because only few people have Bibles to read in their homes.

This time had been really blessing for me and my people. We said thanks to God for everything which got well with the will of Jesus Christ.

Vertical World Solutions Pakistan acted on the command which was given by Jesus

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in^[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit………..Amen

New Doors for Vertical World Solution Pakistan

Matthew 9:37-38

³⁷Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

³⁸Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

These two verses are talking about God’s increasing work in this world. When Jesus was preaching to people and had compassion on them and said His disciples to prayer for more workers. Peter alone preached and thousands of people and were anointed with Holy Spirit. Question is this….Was Jesus Not able to preach or heal these many people alone?

Yes, He was able to heal them but He thought about future when He would not be with them on the earth. He said His disciples to ask for more laborers. God sent many workers to do work in fields and workers are still sent by God wherever He needs to send them.

Vertical World Solution has started work in Pakistan in Arifwala. Arifwala is a city where VWS opened sewing school and one formal and Biblical education school for poor children of Arifwala. These both schools are called Resurrecting Hope. These are really hope to all people, to rise up from poverty and faithlessness. We have lot of to do in Arifwala because many things are in minds to do for people to encourage them to be strong in faith and world as good Christians.

Now VWS Pakistan has five well trained people who are ready to go in different areas where I  (Saul Masih) had been going to preach and meet people.

We have five different cities where we want to send workers to help other workers in fields of God.  These Five 5 people will be sent in neighbor cities then more will be sent to other cities.

We are praying for these five people and 4 cities where these people will be sent to bring glory to God’s name through Vertical World Solution Pakistan .

Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar, Pakpattan and Faisalabad are 4 decided cities where VWSP will start work through its workers.

I am sending you list of people who will be going to these areas. There stories and testimonies are also with this list. You can say prayers for these people because they need your prayers and with prayers we can achieve all our visions.

Resurrecting Hope Primary School is born!!

The following is a letter from Saul detailing the opening of the first independent Christian school in Pakistan…Praise God!!!

Inauguration of Resurrecting Hope Primary School.

Proverbs 19: 2 YLT–”Also, without knowledge the soul is not good…” Amen!

Greetings, we are well and very happy and we hope you will also be happy and growing in Jesus …Amen.

I am going to write you short story about opening ceremony of Resurrecting Hope Primary School, Arifwala.

We are thankful to God for every thing which he has given to us, now greatest blessing for my poor people is Resurrecting Hope Primary School .

We had been praying for this blessing from many years, Christian children were not going to public schools because it was not affordable for them.

But God has promised with His people that He would never leave them alone and orphans. God keeps His promises and fulfills real desires of His good people.

We are thankful to God He listened our prayers and answered in His time. God found April 20th, 2010 right time to give start to our school.

On April 20th God opened a biggest door of development and prosperity for children in Arifwala. This door is Resurrecting Hope Primary School . This was need of long time for my people to understand Bible and this world, now they have a place where poor Christian children can polish and develop their thoughts according to the Biblical ways because now they have school which will be working properly to develop their minds and souls to become active part of this world being a good Christian.

Opening Ceremony

Every one was waiting for this day; we had 300 chairs in our opening ceremony in and outside of tents where we did this ceremony all 300 chairs were full of people because they were excited to see RHPS working for future of their children. Only adults were provided chairs children had to sit on the mats on the ground. More than 200 Children were present in this ceremony. Chairs were short in number so many people were standing on their feet to see this ceremony in other words we can say more than 500 persons were present in this ceremony.

In the begging of ceremony my friend introduced our school staff to all guests and told people about purposes of Resurrecting Hope Primary School in Arifwala. I, Saul, was called on the stage to tell people how God provided miracle funds for School. I told how God used Vertical World Solutions and all you people to do this work in Pakistan. Brother Raymond and Isaac also shared their part to do things for children of school

In the end I said prayers to God to say thanks for this greatest blessing for my people of Arifwala. We asked for blessings for all those people who said prayers and gave donations for Resurrecting Hope Primary School .

Children appeared in school uniforms to introduce our uniform to people. They did skits to give message about value of education for Christians of Pakistan. Children praised God through praise songs which were liked by their parents and Muslims guests.

We had invited Muslim people from our city. Professors, teachers and other officers from educational department were guests. This opening program is bridge to introduce our school to official people of education department which will help us to get tax free letter soon. We gave chance to speak to these official people and they encouraged children and parents to get education. Muslim professors and other teachers were full of  wonder and excited too, because this was first time when they were ever in Christian community in any ceremony. They said that they would try to train our teachers to get good results from classes. They said that they would visit again to see progress of children in this school and to share new methods of teaching with teachers. These Muslim teachers were happy to be part of opening ceremony. Their participation created an environment of love and harmony between Christian and Muslim teachers which is good sign.

Some old and good people from Christian colony were also called on the stage to express their feelings about school. Some people wept on the stage with emotions because they could not control tears of happiness during this opening ceremony.

We granted those students with awards who have taking good marks in different subjects.

Proverbs 19: 2 (Also, without knowledge the soul is not good) is decided central verse or slogan of Resurrecting Hope Primary School because this school will not only work on worldly education but on spiritual education too. Our main purpose is to make Christian children strong spiritually to spend worldly life as good and strong Christians in Pakistan .

We are thankful to God for RHPS because this was impossible for us to start a school for children but God made it possible with your help because without God’s and your help it was impossible for us to start school. This school is “Opening of Hope” for our people.

Thank you all very much for your prayers and love for us. We need your more prayers and help to do more work for betterment of Christian children of Pakistan .

As many of you know we have been working on opening the first independent Christian school in Pakistan. I am pleased to say with LOTS of help we are set to have the Grand Opening of Resurrecting Hope Primary School on April 20th, 2010!!! God has been, and continues to, be so good. We want to thank all of you who have been obedient to God’s call and supported this effort. Although, the money has been raised to open the school, we still have a need for 15 people giving $25/month in order to be fully funded. Please pray about this and if you feel led…. jump on board for this historic event!!

Easter week update from Pakistan

Romans 6:8-11
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

We are thankful to God for His love and protection which He provided us during Easter programs.

We spent very busy days during Easter time.

Palm Sunday

We took start on Palm Sunday; this day is liked by all people because we walk in our streets to give testimony of peace to Muslims. This walk is different than walk we do on first of December. Easter walk is called “peace march” where we tell people Jesus is Prince of Peace. God has used us to show His peace to people of Arifwala through this walk. Children took branches of palms and flowers in their hands adults also did same, these branches of palms and flowers remind us glorious Jesus’ entry in Jerusalem . He entered in great city with peace and people showed their love to Him.

After Palm Sunday walk we had to gave lot of answers to Muslims because they asked many questions about this walk like why did you march in streets? What is purpose of Braches and flowers? Why do you sing? Why Jesus enter in Jerusalem ? What is meaning of Hosanna? These type questions were asked by Muslims. Praise God we were able to answer them. These questions and answers opened doors for us to reach in their hearts. We are thankful to God for this peaceful walk.

Thursday Communion

Luke 22: 17-20
  ¹⁷After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among you. ¹⁸For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”  ¹⁹And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”  ²⁰In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

This was done on Thursday which was done with older people of my colony and village of slaves. We gave food to people with grapes juice and bread to remember Jesus’ last supper.

Good Friday

This day is very important for all people who believe Jesus died on the cross, this is true all Christians believe Jesus died for whole world not only for Christians. We arranged a prayer meeting to remember that time when Jesus gave His life for us on the cross to save us from eternal death. We said prayers and say thanks to God for His son Jesus Christ.

Easter Celebration with Children

We dedicated Saturday for little children. We taught them story of His death. We had Easter celebration in our school and with children of Christian colony, they all ate ice cream and Pakistani food in this celebration. They enjoyed it very much.

Sewing school girls were treated with ice cream too because this was their first Easter in sewing school.

Easter Day

Sunrise Prayer Service

Sunrise service was especially for women, rose up early in the dawn time. They took candles and fragrant in their hands to remember those women who went to the grave in the dawn time. Women lead this meeting and sang the song of resurrecting of Jesus Christ. Women were excited about this because they are first that knew Jesus is raised from the dead.

Easter Prayer Meeting

Two prayer meetings were arranged on Easter day. First was arranged in Christian colony at 9 AM and second was arranged in village of slaves at 12 PM .

In Christian colony more than 500 people gathered in one place and we did our Easter prayer meeting. I taught them purposes of God to send Jesus Christ in the world to save whole world from sins and eternal death. His death gave us life and His life after death gives us eternal life. We are not true Christians if we don’t believe in His death and resurrection from the dead. We need to be true follower of Jesus Christ because He blesses us daily because He is always with us. He is alive and living person can make promise to be with us, dead person can not be with us forever.

In village of slaves I have more than 120 people in my prayer meeting. I repeated same message with them.

After doing these prayer meetings I went door to door to meet and greet my people.

Once again thank you all for your prayer for our Easter programs. We are thankful to God because He had been with us and gave us chance to do His work in His people.

Letter from Saul: Palm Sunday

Matthew 21

 ⁸A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
⁹The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,
   ”Hosanna^[b] to the Son of David!”
   ”Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”^[c]
   ”Hosanna^[d] in the highest!”
 ¹⁰When Jesus entered Jerusalem , the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”
 ¹¹The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee .”

Dearest Brother,
We are thankful to God for His love for us. I am sorry I could not send you request about our Easter programs, internet café was closed for some days because owner was not in city for some day.  Now it is opened and I am going to send you this request.
Tomorrow is Palm Sunday, Last year on Palm Sunday we walked in streets to give testimony to Muslims about great love of Jesus Christ. There will be more than 300 people(+ children) walking with us on this Palm Sunday. I expect even more people in village of slaves. In the morning at 9 AM we shall do Palm Sunday walk in village of slaves and in the afternoon at 3 PM walk will be done in our town Arifwala. We believe in God’s security through His guardian Angels but with them God has provided us protection of Police. Police will be with us in these both walks. We need your prayers for this walk in village of slave and in our town Arifwala.
Children are very excited about this walk because they have decoraded Palm branches to carry and they will be singing the same song which people sang when Jesus entered in the city. We shall be getting flowers and branches for children from a garden. Children and their parents are waiting for this time when they will give testimony of Jesus to other nations.
This walk will be called Peace March because Jesus was called prince of peace. We shall tell all people about this prince of peace.
I believe your prayers will be with us during this walk.
